- What We Will Pay You
Melbourne Health pays its staff according to the Psychiatric Services Agreement. As a newly graduated nurse (Grade 1) your wage on commencement will be $45,833- Graduates who possess a "Major in Mental Health" commence on $47,606 plus allowances.
Staff are supported in their efforts to pursue post graduate study and a generous study leave arrangement is available. Paid time off to attend conferences and seminars is also available. Qualification Allowances are paid to staff that hold a relevant post graduate qualification.
- Annual Leave
Nurses enjoy six (6) weeks paid leave per annum. All staff proceeding on leave will be paid either 17.5% loading or an average of penalty payments (whichever is greater for the period) - the choice is yours.
- Paid Day Off every month
We have a system of Accrued Days Off (ADO), which means every month you get 1 paid day off.
- Post Graduate Courses
Post Graduate studies are offered annually in the Mental Health field.

- Salary packaging
All staff are eligible to join this wonderful tax reducing scheme. You can 'package' up to 50% of your gross base wage. This reduces the overall amount of tax you pay - maximising cash.
- On-Site Parking
At the RMH City Campus we have car park facilities available to all staff at a low cost. Trams bring you to the front door for those who travel by public transport. All of our community based facilities have parking and are in close proximity to public transport.
